Thank you for taking the time to read about Old School Optics. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Janice Bessette. I am an optician with over 24 years experience. I am certified by the American Board of Opticianry, and while living in Texas served on the Texas Opthalmic Participants Society as a board member, and am a Licensed Optician in the state of Massachsuttes.

I have a passion for optics. Anyone who has studied the structure and anatomy of the human can have no question of God, and of the incredible and complex things he has created, especially the human eye. I can not explain the feeling that comes over me when a child puts on their glasses for the first time, and they look out the window and see leaves on the tree for the first time, or they look in the mirror and see the reflection of their face for the first time, what a wonderful thing to be a part of.

I am so over joyed to be a part in my husbands ministry, and we will be using my skill and my knowledge of optics to provide missionaries and their families with quality eyeglasses.

We will also collect eyeglasses from  brothers and sisters in Christ, and other optical sources to be able to provide eyeglasses to the people that our missionaries are trying to reach.
